Villages on Crete
Apart from the 4 large cities there are countless villages, from those with several thousand inhabitants to tiny hamlets with only a few residents. There are also some villages which are only inhabited in summer. In winter, many Cretans move to their homes in the cities or spend a longer time in Athens, Thessaloniki or even abroad.
